It's one of those games where if you don't spend money on it, you'll be subject to horrible luck and waiting for slowly get just a bit stronger, just so you can get stomped in the level that comes right after the one you were grinding so hard to beat. Also, there's no claim all button in the achievements. That's mildly annoying. The art is pretty cool, though.

It's stylish, charming, fun, and left me consistently wanting to play more... However, this game has many faults that utterly stops all semblance of fun. Limited amount of plays, a gear enhancement system that fails because it can make you go from a legendary to common, it fails because it'll delete your two combined gear. It fails because it kills progress and forces you to dedicate your game play to one style without giving you a chance to explore. You have to hard commit to one set of gear.

Hi, bro. The game got difficulty indeed, but there are many tips you can find to clear the level. Though gear is the main way to be powerful but gameplay skill also essential. (Take this review with a grain of salt.) There's a significant jump in the second chapter, because the moment you reach it, you're going to have to grind which, technically is what Swordash is about. While I did grab this game to play some hack and slashing, the challenge is there. I would have preferred to give players a bit more grace with these chapters, maybe extend them slowly and give more guidance with improving (refining, upgrading, opening crates, etc.) instead of exponentially growing.
