No notifications. Seems like you can only be notified if you pay the money. Roku sells these cameras as not needing a subscription. I can still live view, but there is no notification or events for motion. The cameras themselves are decent. Image is pretty clean. But I should still be able to receive notifications without a sub. Update - I did as sev suggested in reply to my review and it still does not send me notifications.

ive had my inside and outside camera for about a year now. everything was working fine. all of the sudden the motion detection just stopped alerting. I have unplugged it, reconnected it to the WiFi, etc. it still will not alert me. what good is a front door camera if it doesn't let you know of potential dangers? I have emailed them about this and never get a response! I don't recommend buying! we are looking for a different brand now.

If you are considering buying something that uses this app, don't!! I have two light bulbs and at first they worked great! Now, every other time I want to use the app to adjust the color or brightness or turn them on or off the app 'fails to connect.' To fix this issue I have to uninstall the app, reinstall it, wait for an activation code to be sent to my phone and then enter the code. Additionally, I had to wait thirty minutes to connect with customer service to talk to someone.
