It's fine, this is the free version. They don't collect your data. There are no ads. Also to upgrade you have to purchase a separate app and not upgrade in app, which supports Play's Family Library feature. But the free app doesn't give you too much, and this app didn't fit my specific needs which is outside basic note taking. But I appreciate their business practices, and will give them a fair rating for doing so.

Does everything I want a notes app to do and (this is more important actually) does not do anything I don't want it to do. Super small, no ads, no data collection or sharing, doesn't pester you to upgrade or rate the app, the only popup is a periodic reminder to backup your notes which I find quite helpful. Nothing fancy, just a place to write things you want to save.

This is a great app. It automaticly saves the notes. It worked fine on my tablet despite the warning that it wasn't optimized for the device. It gives you a range of color themes. Best of all, it is ad free and requires ZERO permissions. The top rated notepads that I clicked on first wanted access to just about everything. This one only allows you to save 12 notes on the free version, but there's a reasonably priced pro version if you need more.
