This does work. It will replace the damaged video header with a good one. Unfortunately, in my case, only the first two minutes of an 8 minute video were recovered, probably because my phone reused part of the memory for other pictures or videos. You can preview the repaired file for free, but if you want to save it, you need to pay the $6 for the app.

I spent 6 hours on the computer trying different software and command lines, I tried everything, even found a copy (lol) of a $70 a month software which did repair the video but it added like 40 seconds making everything slow motion. Out of everything this is only thing that works fully, and the cheapest option, I never thought a phone software would work better than every desktop software I tried. It's not free, but it's cheapest option and better than 6 hours of trying every desktop software.

There is nothing I like more than having something important to me be held hostage unless I paid money to buy the app in order for it to actually do anything. You download the app and it does repair video files. However, if you want to do anything beyond preview the file you have to pay $6. It feels cold & extorting vs a proper trial. It should at least allow you to repair a single file to get a taste of things. But instead it's just another app that doesn't allow anything unless you pay up.
