a surprisingly fun game. I hadn't played the first one, but the mechanics started out simple enough and progressed into a more and more complex system. Its addicting. at times id sink 3 or 4 hours in at once without realizing it. I was able to overpower most of the bosses eventually but the challenges provided really fun puzzles to make each run a little more complex. The enemy designs were a little cheesy but it didn't detract from the gameplay at all.

This game is amazing. No ads, no IAPs, no gunk. Its mechanics overlap and synergize, growing in depth and complexity the more you play. Extremely engaging, and has cool story events too. Even in well-written English! It also has a mechanic called time shards, which allow you to put it down for about 27 hours and not lose any real progress, because the shards let you fast forward gameplay and research as you see fit. Incredibly well done.

What an incredibly addictive game! I couldn't put this down for a few weeks until I cleared it. It's a sort of idle/active hybrid, where you watch numbers go up, but progress does come quickly enough that you can play actively. The gameplay loop is delicious, and the most strategy-focused idle-like I've played ever. Beating harder bosses balances gearing up and smart tactics. Combat can be active or passive depending on how you set up. Story is really good. A lot of thought went into it.
