So i really like the app. Seems very effective in teaching conversational Spanish. What i do not like is after the first 7 2 minute lessons, you only get 1 lesson every 24 hours for free. If you choose not to purchase the premium then you really cant learn from this app unless you buy it. And I dont think its a one time purchase. I believe you have to pay a monthly fee for this app. I could see maybe making a one time puchase if u really want to learn Spanish. But not paying for it every month.

The daily lessons are short and sweet. I think that's pretty awesome so you really don't make excuses not to do them. You can easily do your daily lesson while waiting in line....using the bathroom... anything that's takes about 5 minutes. I have also used Rosetta stone, I would say this is comparable. Plus, the lack of having too many ads also is a major plus. Can't believe this is free. Download soon before they start to charge.

I originally gave this a 4/5, but after spending some time with the app, I'm going to drop it down to a 3/5. I use it to learn more Spanish & Russian, but I'm starting to see where this app might be flawed. 1st, it would be extremely helpful to control the speed of the speaker, some spoken phrases are extremely fast, so it's hard to hear HOW something is being said, and makes typing it difficult b/c I can't hear subtle nuances (like with Russian). It also would be nice to zero in on a particular word in a phrase to play it and hear how it's said. 2nd, I think you may need to update your translations. Obviously one can't expect LITERAL translations from one language to another, but as I learn the Russian, the phrase given seems to be wildly different than how one could or even should translate it. The app teaches one word, but then gives us a phrase with an entirely different word. It would help to have an in app explanation of some of the meanings of those words. 3rd, with English, it seems to use UK English, not American, and the Spanish is Castellian, not Mexican, I think you should have options to switch those aspects around b/c it can get very confusing when I'm learning a word for biscuit, when that word really should be cookie, or when the app pronounces Spanish with a lisp, when I'm more trying to speak & learn the Mexican variety. Kind of like with the English, same languages, subtle differences.
