About this app

HSVUTIL is a free mobile app for Huntsville Utilities (Huntsville, AL) customers. Customers can use the app to log into their MyHU account to view usage and billing, manage payments, notify customer service of account and service issues, and receive special messaging from Huntsville Utilities. As a Public Utility, we answer only to the people we serve. Decisions are based on what is best for our customers. We do not pay dividends to stockholders. Instead, we provide lower prices to our customers.

Additional Features:

Bill & Pay:
Quickly view your current account balance and due date, manage recurring payments and modify payment methods. You can also view bill history including PDF versions of paper bills directly on your mobile device. Make a payment now or schedule it for a future date.

My Usage:
View energy usage graphs to identify high usage trends. Navigate graphs quickly using an intuitive gesture based interface.

Contact Us:
Easily contact Huntsville Utilities by email or phone. You can also submit one of the predefined messages, with the ability to include pictures and GPS coordinates.

News:
Provides a convenient way to monitor news that may affect your service such as rate changes, outage information and upcoming events.

Service Status:
Displays service interruption and outage information. You can report an outage directly to Huntsville Utilities.

The app itself isnt bad. I understand people are frusturated and the transition has been aggravating, but the app is good. its clean and easy to use. shows tons of data at a glance. useful for managing usage. The UI is solid and clean. Filtering my usage how I want and with graphs is really nice. ez access to an outage map and making reports and quick login. can use biometrics. only wish that i could see my electric and water usage at the same time, even one above the other to scroll between

READ THIS BEFORE YOU REGISTER Eventually got there What you need to know. What they don't tell you in the app. You CANNOT use the old account number from the old bill format to register. You should call the automated number to get the new account number. ALSO get your new bill balance because you need both to complete registration. My new balance was only for 7 days which means with the new app/changes your payment date may be different too.

I really do not like that I no longer have the option to pay separate houses individually and am being forced to pay them in one lump sum, it is extremely inconvenient as I pay them from separate checks entirely during the month.
