Reverse: 1999 is a 20th Century Time-Travel Strategic RPG developed by Bluepoch.
On the last day of 1999, the "Storm" fell upon the world. You witnessed an era reversed beneath the rising raindrops. Defying all reasons, what unfolds in front of you is the world of an era long past.
As the Timekeeper, observer of eras, you are free to travel through these eras after each "Storm." With the aid of Sonetto, a powerful Arcanist and ally from the Foundation, your mission is to travel through eras to where the "Storm" is most active, find other Arcanists who can sense the coming "Storm," and save them from being "sifted out" of the timeline.

I've played a LOT of Gacha games, and I hands down think this one is the best. The characters are incredibly interesting and well designed, the story is STUNNING and leaves me speechless (despite the weird translations of the first 4 chapters), the events offer a ton to do and tons of rewards, it's much easier to save up pulls than a lot of other games... there's just so much I adore about it, to the point where I'm sad it's a gacha game and not a fully fledged RPG. One of my favorites.

I've been playing since release, and this game's story, concept, and execution are top-notch. The gacha mechanics are good but not central to access the story. You are not hard gated behind exponentially increasing resources as the characters have level caps they will hit. The voice acting in English is a bit weird, but somehow, it fits the universe, I hope the other language packs do the same thing. Play at night right before bed or in the morning, as the rain atmosphere sets the tone.

I'm new, but this is a really nice game! I love the art style and the story is quite immersive with voicelines, scenes changing often, different, attractive characters, etc. The gacha system is fun too. A bit too many aspects in the fighting which I don't understand honestly, but fights are enjoyable and it's easy to understand the basic-ish things. I do wish there were more male characters (': but other than that, you should try the game!
