It's mind boggling how bad this app is & the overall setup experience for installing Elgato light strip. First, everything in the app takes like a minute to load, e.g. constantly waiting for the spinning wheel. To add insult to injury, the setup involves connecting the light strip to a Wi-Fi network. However, if your Wi-Fi network SSID name is too short (e.g. mine is 3 letters long), it won't let you enter the password, making setup impossible. I had to change my Wi-Fi SSID just for this... š¤¦

How is this app even still in the play store? It's terrible. It loses connection to wifi, my lights start blinking on and off, I can never get it back unless I restart the app. Totally unusable in live streams and recording which is what I bought the key lights for. It's a shame this hasn't been fixed. I have dozens of apps that control remote devices, none of them lose the connection and start flashing the devices. I feel totally let down by Elgato.

The app disconnects from my lights all the time. Sometimes I have to go through connecting my lights every time I want to use them. On that, the connection process is a pain and most times it takes multiple tries to make it work. The lights won't show up, my wifi won't show up, every operation is super slow, and the link to open the app settings takes you to your phone settings. Overall, using my lights is a stressful experience because I'm never sure if they'll be available for my meetings.
